Highlight of the Week

Science Curiosity

Last Friday, Year 7 attended 'We The Curious' in Bristol. They took part in a planetarium show where the explored how light is central to our understanding of the Universe and how developments in telescope technology and photosensitive materials are changing the way we look at our own Galaxy and beyond. 

Pupils also took part in a chemistry workshop where they used Bunsen burners, metal salts, glowing reactions and microscopes to explore a variety of contrasting and highly visual reactions.

However, the highlight of the day was following TV presenter Nick Knowles around the exhibits!
