Sixth Form Ski Trip to Austria

During February half term, a number of sixth form students were lucky to go on the ski trip to Altenmarkt, Austria.

Though waking up at one in the morning was certainly not welcome, we left in good spirits, and after a morning of travelling, we met our guide, Martyn at our hotel.  He kept us in good spirits, with regular morning sing-alongs, and put us to shame with his vastly superior skiing skills.

The beginners’ group confidently skied on red slopes by the final day, the lower intermediate group acquired new skills throughout the week, while the advanced group undertook impressive off-piste runs, with some jumps more successful than others.

Besides skiing, evening activities gave us opportunities to relax which included tobogganing, bowling, swimming, and tubing.
