Times Tables Rock Stars
We are thrilled to share our incredible news from the recent Times Tables Rock Stars Cardiff Rocks competition.
This exciting online event challenged schools across Cardiff to boost maths confidence, accuracy, and recall speed through fun and competitive times tables practice. Learners aimed to answer as many multiplication and division questions correctly as possible. Every correct answer between 07:30 and 19:30 counted towards their class and school score, with a 60-minute daily play limit per student. The winners were determined by the highest average number of correct answers per pupil.
Our amazing results:
- CSL ranked 1st out of 28 participating schools
- Year 6 achieved 1st place out of 157 classes
- James D, our Head Boy, secured 1st place out of 2,309 students (answering ~15,000 questions correctly across the three days)
This incredible achievement is thanks to the hard work and determination of our pupils, especially in Years 5 and 6, who kept us at the top of the leaderboard. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part – you have shown that practice, perseverance, and teamwork truly pay off. We can’t wait to see what we accomplish next in Wales Rocks at the beginning of December. Bring it on!
