U15 Llandovery Sevens Winners

Despite the horrific weather conditions encountered last weekend, the U15 sevens squad was magnificent in the Llandovery Sevens competition.

Matches against the renowned Wellington, Bishopston, Bishop of Hereford Bluecoat School and the hosts, Llandovery College, set up a very keenly contested final between the Cathedral School and Bro Dinefwr. 

Nerves started to jangle when the opposition went ahead deep into the second half but the Cathedral School remained resolute even with an impeding defeat in sight.  With only moments to spare, we regained possession and looked very likely to score but knocked the ball on. Then, in the last play of the game, Will Y raced through a gap and galloped 70 metres to secure the title to the relief and adulation of everyone involved.

The Headmaster was delighted to invite the team for hot chocolate and cookies at break time this week to celebrate their great win.
