Our oldest Primary pupils have had a fantastic week on their residential to Normandy.
Following a very early start on Bank Holiday Monday, they journeyed to France by bus and ferry. Throughout the week they were treated to the magnificent sights of Normandy. They were amazed by the views at Mont Saint Michel, with its town and Abbey. They learnt about the sorrows of war by visiting Arromanches’ 360 degree cinema, Longues Sur Mer Battery, the American, German and British cemeteries and Pegasus Bridge’s Memorial Museum. They were enthralled by their visit to Bayeux, wandering the cathedral and viewing the ancient tapestry. In addition, each evening they would return to the picturesque Chateau du Molay and its rolling grounds for fun filled activities, such as It’s a Knockout and Karaoke. Though some of the singing was questionable, the pupils have had a magnificent week. They will return in the early hours of Saturday, better for their experiences together.
