A Visit from Animal Zone

Year 1 pupils concluded their Carnival of the Animals topic with an exciting visit from Animal Zone that brought their learning to life.
Having explored different animal groups in class, this visit provided the perfect opportunity to observe real creatures up close and deepen their understanding of the natural world. Pupils were introduced to a range of fascinating animals, from cockroaches and millipedes to a python, and were encouraged to handle them with care and curiosity. For many, the chance to hold these creatures was a thrilling experience, while others preferred to observe from a distance. Throughout the session, David from Animal Zone shared engaging facts about each animal.
