Academic Achievements

Recent weeks have seen several of our Sixth Formers excelling outside of the classroom, demonstrating confidence, expertise and a passion for learning. 

Three Year 12 students competed in the British Physics Olympiad Senior Physics Challenge online competition. This is a national-level challenge that tests key physics concepts through a series of multiple-choice questions designed to stretch pupils beyond the curriculum. They each received recognition for their outstanding performances - Edward R-S also achieved a Gold certificate, while Anshul S and Sam B earned Silver. 

Meanwhile, in the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition Wales Area Final, Year 12 students Myles C, Joe P and Emily H delivered an engaging and eloquent presentation on the thought-provoking topic Intelligence is our Greatest Gift. Competing against four other teams, they impressed with their humour, clarity and confidence - it was a fantastic experience that further developed their communication and debating skills.
