Senior Open Morning
Wednesday 19 March 2025
During Children’s Mental Health Week, assemblies and PHME sessions have focused on this year's theme Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.
The Place2Be campaign is running in partnership with Here4You and supported by The Walt Disney Company, featuring characters from Inside Out 2 to help bring the message to life. It encourages pupils to recognise their emotions, understand themselves better and build resilience to navigate life’s challenges.
In Senior assemblies, Dr Bailey spoke about the importance of self-awareness and emotional connection. Pupils were introduced to 24 characteristics of a healthy mind, helping them reflect on what contributes to positive mental well-being. The key message was simple but powerful: the more we understand ourselves, the better equipped we are to manage our emotions and build strong relationships. Mrs Sherwood and Mrs Price led Primary assemblies, helping to engage younger pupils in this important conversation.
By developing self-awareness, pupils can improve their ability to connect with others, laying the foundations for forming strong and healthy relationships, from early childhood through to adulthood.
