Chorister Recordings in the Cathedral

The Choristers were recently involved in a recording of music for Advent and Christmas in Llandaff Cathedral set to be released later this year as a limited print run of CDs and on various streaming platforms.

Three evenings of recording took place with the Choristers singing more than 15 pieces of their favourite music for the Festive season. Recording is a brilliant discipline for a professional choir and allows singers to push themselves to the highest standards in pursuit of perfection. The Choristers are to be commended for the level of concentration they showed throughout the project - we will share details of how you can hear the fruits of their labours in the coming months.

A reminder that applications for auditions for children interested in becoming a chorister close on Friday 7th March, and auditions for September entry to the choir will be held on Saturday 22nd March. Application forms – which also detail what is involved in the audition – can be obtained from the Registrar, Ms Deborah Whitehouse, via whitehousedc@cathedral-school.co.uk.
