On Wednesday, the Nursery, Infant and Juniors, took part in a sponsored cycle ride in aid of the Joshua Foundation.

While some of the pupils - and staff - cycled a course in the Walled Garden and on the school field appropriate to their age, Mr Cummins, Mr Harper and Mr Garland accompanied 13 children who cycled all day (it seemed like it!) from the Brecon Mountain Railway Centre back to school along the Taff Trail. The distance cycled was 34 miles.

Mr Garland, Deputy Headmaster said: "For eleven-year-old children to cover this distance in approximately six hours (and remembering Mr. ‘Tom Tom' Cummins got us lost more than once) is a remarkable achievement. We are all very proud of their efforts and they deserve a great deal of praise. I can honestly say that getting to school has never ever felt so good!"

The cyclists who embarked on this mission were 6C's Osian J, Charles A, James W, Peter J, Jack B, Joe B and Sam B and 6H's Archie T, Zac, Ted P, Alec G, Evan M and Jade B.
