We were delighted to welcome prospective Year 5 pupils to our recent Discovery Day — an immersive taster experience offering a first-hand glimpse into life in Year 7 at The Cathedral School.
The day began with a warm welcome in the Chapel from the Head, Mrs Clare Sherwood, before pupils embarked on a fun-filled schedule of lessons and activities. From hands-on chromatography experiments in Science to energetic Drama workshops and an introduction to percussion, the children were immersed in the rich and varied curriculum on offer at CSL.
Guided by our specialist teachers and supported by our friendly pupils and staff, the visiting children quickly settled into the rhythm of Senior School life. Breaktimes and lunch offered time to unwind, with plenty of fun on the MUGA and a chance to sample a delicious lunch in the Refectory.
Parents joined us at the end of the day for a special performance in the Drama Studio, where the children proudly showcased a percussion piece they had learned just hours earlier.
