Food, Glorious Food!

Pupils in Year 1 had the opportunity to experience a wonderful hands-on session with Chartwells, our school caterers.
The engaging sessions were led by Marnie, one of Chartwells’ nutritionists, with the aim of developing a positive, healthy relationship around food. The sessions included tasting various fruit and vegetables, learning about where food comes from, and even producing their own hungry caterpillar creations. In Science, Year 1 pupils have been out to the Primary Garden where they planted radish, chard and rocket. The pupils are investigating which fruit and vegetables can grow in our country and whether these grow under or above the ground.
