Our new Year 7 pupils enjoyed a very successful Bonding Weekend before the new term started. After travelling to Manor Adventure at Llanwrtyd Wells, in mid-Wales, they engaged in a number of outdoor activities that ranged from archery to zip-line flying, survival skills and completing an obstacle course, and of course the really popular water activities which included stand-up paddle boarding, raft-building and the teamwork involved when completing the Lake Challenge. All of our pupils were taken out of their usual friendship and form groups and worked together with the common aims of not only completing their outdoor tasks, but also getting to know each other at the same time.
The weekend as a whole was approached with enthusiasm and high spirits and proved to be a really successful introduction for CSL’s newest members of the Senior Section. Many thanks to the HMs, Year 7 Form Tutors and Mrs Howell-Jones for supporting the pupils in all that they did!
