Junior Summer Concert
The concert opener brought together our many ensembles with a powerful orchestral performance of Jupiter by Holst, followed by a lively rendition of The Addams Family theme. String Ensemble continued the momentum with an energetic performance of the Star Wars theme, while the ever-growing Brass Ensemble entertained with their upbeat Blues Band 3.
The Recorder Army delivered confident ensemble pieces, and the Junior Guitar group transported the audience with Streets of Laredo, followed by a bold performance of Andalusia, composed by their leader, Mr Nikolaidis. Junior Winds brought joyful energy and choreography to their performances of Ooner or Later and Ragoon, while Junior Flutes offered a gentle, lyrical version of English Country Garden.
Junior Percussion made a dynamic impact with When the Saints, and the joint Junior Choirs closed the concert with great spirit, first with a rhythmic Polynesian folk song, and finally with an uplifting performance of Roar, which filled the Cathedral with energy.
