National Service of Remembrance for the 75th anniversary of the Holocaust Memorial Day

The service, led by faith leaders from all over Wales reminded us of our individual responsibility to choose to dispel darkness wherever we find it. This year’s theme was Stand Together and in assemblies from Year 3 to Year 13, we heard from Senior Head Girl Maya Rollnick who reminded us that we are immensely fortunate to be part of a community where we celebrate our differences and welcome everyone.

But, of course, with privilege comes responsibility. What choices will we make as the next generation to shape the future - we are all responsible for the societies that we create. Let us choose to resist attempts to mock, isolate and separate ourselves from each other. Let us stand together with those who are suffering so that light may triumph over darkness, love prevail over hate and good triumph over evil
