Discovery Day
(Year 7 entry 2026 only)
Thursday 5 June 2025
Our Infant and Junior Eisteddfodau were a wonderful celebration of Welsh culture, music and poetry, with pupils arriving at school in traditional Welsh costume or Welsh sports shirts.
In the Juniors, pupils showcased their talents through a variety of vocal and instrumental performances, with everything from piano and xylophone to violins and drums. Each act was met with enthusiastic applause, creating a fantastic atmosphere of encouragement and friendly competition. Poetry finalists captivated the audience with their expressive recitations, while art and photography entries added to the creative spirit of the event. After a morning of outstanding performances, Coombes claimed victory. Special congratulations go to our Bard winners, brothers Huw W (Year 6) and Dafydd W (Year 2).
Meanwhile, our Infant pupils also enjoyed a lively and engaging Eisteddfod. The children enthusiastically took part in performances and creative activities, proudly sharing their talents while developing a deeper appreciation for Welsh heritage.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day so special!
