Springtime Serenade

This year’s Springtime Serenade featured a fantastic mix of classic jazz standards and upbeat pop favourites, including In the Mood, Take the A Train, You’ve Got a Friend in Me, and Hip to Be Square.
There were several solo performances throughout the evening: Ed R-S brought smooth jazz flair on tenor saxophone, Elaine L’s bassoon solo was a refreshing addition, and Max C-T’s double bass solo placed a well-deserved spotlight on the instrument. Iris L delivered engaging vocals during Blue Moon, Crocodile Rock and The Lady Is a Tramp, while Georgia H made her debut with the Jazz Band, giving a confident vocal performance of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.
Styled as a relaxed jazz café, the evening was complemented by food and drink provided by our Sixth Form Interact team, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere and an enjoyable night of live music and entertainment. Thank you to all the performers, staff and pupils who helped make the event such a success.
