Discovery Day (Year 7 entry 2027 only)
Thursday 4 June 2026
CSL was well represented at the Rosslyn Park 7s, with strong performances across the U14, U16 and 1st VII squads.
The U14s made a confident start with a win over Churchill Academy, showing attacking intent and effective distribution, but found later fixtures more challenging against well-organised opposition. Despite not progressing, the group showed determination throughout and gained valuable experience in the 7s format.
The U16s delivered an excellent campaign, growing in confidence across the group stages to secure three impressive wins and progress as group winners. A determined performance in the knockout round saw them face strong opposition, with the squad showing resilience, discipline and high-quality play throughout.
The 1st VII also impressed, topping their group with a series of composed and well-executed performances. They produced a strong display in the knockout stages, narrowly missing out against the eventual tournament winners, in what was a highly competitive contest.
Across all teams, pupils demonstrated commitment, character and excellent sportsmanship, representing the school with pride at a prestigious national event.
We wish the very best of luck to our U13s, who are competing in the tournament today—be sure to follow @cslcardiffsport on Instagram for updates.
