World Maths Day

25 March 2026
World Maths Day
Pupils from Nursery to Year 6 celebrated World Maths Day by taking part in a wide range of fun, active and engaging activities designed to bring maths to life and develop their problem-solving skills.

Across the Primary section, pupils explored a variety of hands-on challenges, including creating Easter patterns in Nursery, indoor and outdoor maths activities in Reception, and investigating volume and capacity in Year 1. Year 2 focused on understanding thirds, while Year 3 combined maths with physical activity and a lively Countdown-style challenge. Older pupils deepened their knowledge of fractions, with Year 4 exploring key concepts, Year 5 working on adding fractions, and Year 6 consolidating their understanding through a range of problem-solving tasks. It has been wonderful to see such enthusiasm and collaboration, with all pupils embracing maths in creative and meaningful ways.
