Take 10 to Read World Record Attempt

On Thursday, our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils and their teachers joined readers from around the world as part of the National Literacy Trust's Take 10 to Read world record attempt. The initiative, delivered in partnership with the British Council, aimed to set a new Guinness World Records™ title for the most people reading online in a 12-hour period.

As part of the event, pupils took time out of their day to enjoy reading alongside thousands of participants across the globe. The campaign highlights the wellbeing benefits of reading, as we reflect on World Mental Health Day today, encourages people of all ages to take just ten minutes to read around World Mental Health Day.

We were delighted to play our part in this global celebration of reading and look forward to hearing in November whether the world record attempt was successful.
