Music Theory

The Music Department is now providing weekly group Music Theory tuition, with up to five pupils per class. 

Grade 5 Theory remains a prerequisite for Grade 6 music practical; it is always a good idea to start covering some Music Theory in the early stages, gradually building up to Grade 5 level. It is recognised however that many pupils do not engage with Theory until shortly before they wish to move to Grade 6, only to find that the demands of Grade 5 Music Theory are very considerable indeed!
