Oxbridge Launch Seminar

We held our Oxbridge Launch Seminar, offering insights into the application process, as well as what life at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge is actually like. This year, it was opened to Years 11 - 13 and we were overwhelmed by the uptake, with significant numbers of students and parents expressing an interest. Perhaps the most exciting and engaging part of the evening were the guest speakers - CSL alumni who have achieved great success at Oxbridge. Holly Passant (OL 2019-21 - Engineering at Oxford), Brychan Thomas (OL 2017-22 - Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge) and Dr Prakrit Prasad (OL 2002-2017 - Medicine at Oxford) were both informative and amusing in recounting their own experiences of the preparation, application and interview process, providing much needed insight into what it means to be an Oxbridge student (as well as the intriguing types of questions asked at interview!) We are incredibly grateful to them for their time. We would like to thank them for their ongoing support with future generations of applicants, including some members who have agreed to be a point of call for subject specific questions. The whole evening was a wonderful opportunity for the discussion of aspirations and for queries, and I know we have some very strong students looking to make an impact on their world.
