Poetry Live!

Year 11 pupils (and four very excited English teachers) travelled to Bristol to experience Poetry Live!, a fantastic event that showcases poetry being performed by some of the top poets in the country, including Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage, previous Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, and a firm favourite, John Agard.

It was a privilege to be able to hear from the poets themselves about how they transform initial ideas into the poems we study. It was also really helpful to have a presentation from the Chief Examiners with some great tips about how to approach the exam. We are so proud of our pupils, who were engaged and interested throughout!
