Romans for the Day

This week Year 4 visited the Roman Museum and Amphitheatre in Caerleon as part of their History topic this term.

Following a talk and tour of the amphitheatre and barracks, the children asked some very searching questions, impressing the Museum staff with their knowledge of the Roman Empire.  They then thoroughly enjoyed trying on Roman soldiers’ uniforms and learning how patients were treated in a doctor’s surgery in Roman times.
