Several pupils from Years 9 to 11 proudly represented our school at the Royal Society of Chemistry’s competition held at Swansea University.
The selection process began ahead of the event with a Kahoot! challenge completed at home, which helped determine the teams taking part. On the day, pupils tackled a series of demanding practical chemistry tasks, followed by a lively quiz designed to test their subject knowledge. In the afternoon, they enjoyed watching an exciting University Challenge–style final, which highlighted the impressive talent of teams from across Wales. With 39 teams competing overall, the standard was extremely high. Although CSL did not take home a prize on this occasion, pupils demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the day. The teams will head to Cardiff next month for another opportunity to qualify for the All-Wales Final in March, and we look forward to seeing what they achieve next. Well done to everyone involved.
