Welcoming our New Bursar

We're delighted to welcome Martyn Seaward to The Cathedral School, Llandaff as our new Bursar!

Martyn joins us with over 30 years of financial experience. He originally started his career with KPMG, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and pursuing a career that spanned External and Internal Audit, Risk Management, Economic Development and Governance across the private and public sectors and working in Europe and Australia. After 15 years, Martyn left KPMG to join the Social Housing and Care sectors, working for one of Wales' largest social landlords for over 12 years. Following this, Martyn spent the last six years in a not-for-profit organisation which operated across the leisure, arts, culture and sports sectors.

He will work closely with the Head, Governors and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the effective stewardship of the School’s resources, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term planning.

Upon reflecting on his first two months at CSL, Martyn said, “I have been extremely impressed with the passion shown by both pupils and colleagues alike. There is a clear desire to achieve across all aspects of school life, and I am looking forward to playing my part in ensuring CSL continues to thrive and provide a top-class educational setting for years to come”.

Martyn’s appointment marks a new chapter for CSL, and we look forward to the contribution he will make in the years ahead.
