This week, Year 7 pupils took part in a whole day RSE event with the focus on healthy relationships. Starting the day with group discussions about the different types of relationships they will experience in their lives, all pupils enjoyed a number of workshops with the aim of identifying positive and negative relationship traits. Pupils discussed what makes a good friend and also recognising where they could access help and support if they were struggling in any of their relationships.
They took part in a drama session exploring different ways of resolving conflict, with pupils offering advice and support to others in a number of role play scenarios. PC Jane Woodhall also held a discussion group which looked at situations that people often find themselves in when they fail to act sensibly with their peers.
The day ended with Year 7 pupils working collaboratively to produce a common Friendship Charter, individually pledging their support to CSL being a kind and friendly school. These pledges now take pride of place on the newly designed Friendship Wall that can be found outside the School Library. Miss Wheeler
