Our Celebration of Percussion was an impressive demonstration of musical agility, technical precision, ensemble awareness, commitment to excellence and outstanding showmanship.
Five different groups took part, often playing several pieces each. Audience members were treated to meticulously prepared performances, each reflecting the pupils' rehearsal efforts and appetite for challenge. Impressive solos punctuated the concert which was highly enjoyable from start to finish.
It was wonderful to observe the commitment of our percussionists, as well as the journey of those who started their musical journey in our Primary section, and their enjoyment throughout the concert was clear to see.
A huge well done to all involved. We are incredibly proud of our ambitious and vibrant percussion programme, led by specialist teachers, with pupils rehearsing regularly to hone their craft. Please see the full programme below:
