Floodlit Rugby 7s Tournament

The second edition of the CSL U18 Floodlit Rugby 7s, in association with Cardiff University, saw seven schools from across the South West and Midlands come together for an early season competition, with four schools making their debuts in the event.
The initial group phase had two pools, and after the round-robin the teams were split into a Cup and a Plate competition. CSL made it through to the Cup group alongside Haberdashers' Monmouth School, Cheltenham College and Dean Close School. The Plate group comprised of Clifton College, Malvern College and a Bristol Schools representative side.
The standard of rugby from all sides was excellent, with the two 4G pitches enabling fast and exciting games to be played. It was a great way to start the season for our players who also competed in the Bristol Grammar School 7s tournament two days later, winning the Bowl in the final against Wells Cathedral School. They now look forward to the Collegiate 7s, Wycliffe College 7s, West of England 7s and, finally, the Rosslyn Park National School 7s.
