"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."
Planning effectively and working together to inspire others and achieve a shared purpose.
Leadership need not be standing in front of an army, issuing instructions. At the Cathedral School, we believe that leadership is about inspiration – and each one of our pupils is inspirational. Together, pupils, staff and parents help create an inspiring vision of the future. This may be formally, through the pupil forums, the house captains, the student leadership teams, or the sports captains. Informally, pupils learn to motivate and manage through the Head’s Award and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, through the wide ranging house competitions and supporting others through the peer listening scheme.
Parents too are encouraged to get involved through the Friends of The Cathedral School – a hugely supportive and hard working group. Leadership is about listening, learning and working together – and every voice counts.
